Since 1963, the Grueninger Family has supported music excellence by providing life-changing opportunities for student musicians to experience the splendor and magic of the Rose Parade. This Scholarship is designed to honor those marchers for their commitment to excellence through their expression of individuality, creativity, and experiences through music.

To be eligible for consideration for the Scholarship, the applicant must be, as of the expiration of the Application Period: (a) A marcher in the 136th Rose Parade on January 1, 2025, (b) A member of the high school graduating class of 2025 enrolled or planning on enrolling in an accredited post-secondary institution, an enrolled student at an accredited institution (4-year university/college or junior college) with at least one year of academic study remaining at the undergraduate, graduate or doctoral level at the time of award notification date, (c) plan to or are pursuing a degree with a declared major or course of study that is relevant to the music industry.

The "Application Period" begins on May 30, 2024, and ends at 11:59 pm Pacific Time on August 15, 2024.

To be considered for the scholarship, eligible applicants must submit the following via a completed online application form.

• A short biography
• A brief explanation about your path in music to include influential teachers, directors or role models and how you chose your instrument
• A short essay on the role of music in your life and how this inspired your interest to continue to study music
• Current school transcript (both official and unofficial transcripts accepted)

Submissions will be judged by an independent committee comprised of band directors selected by Grueninger Music Tours in its sole discretion.

$2,500 educational scholarship issued in the name of the student to an accredited post-secondary institution.
